Saturday July 8th
Leave A&P parking lot at 6:00am (have breakfast at home). Drive to Chattanooga, TN (approx. 10 hours) to Raccoon Mountain Campgrounds, arriving approx. 5:00 pm. Bag lunch from home along the way. Supper at concession stand in campground. $15.00 spending money will be given to each person for the Alpine Slide, go-carts, or video games.
Sunday July 9th
Reveille at 6:00 am. Break camp and drive to Sweetwater, TN (approx. 1½ hours). Fast food breakfast on the way. Tour the caverns and take a glass bottom boat trip on the huge underground lake filled with blind fish, until lunchtime. Any souvenirs, T-shirts, etc. to be personal expenses. Have a fast food lunch and drive across the mountains into North Carolina (approx. 5 hours). Have a fast food supper before setting up camp in the White Pines campground.
Monday July 10th
Reveille at 7:30 am. Breakfast in camp. Break camp and drive to Sliding Rock waterfall (approx. 15 minutes) in the Pisgah National Forest. Swim in the creek and ìslideî on the rock waterfall until lunchtime. Drive to trail head (approx. 15 minutes) in the Davidson River Campground. Have trail lunch and begin hike. Hike approx. 3 to 5 miles until about 4:00 pm. Supper in trail camp. Overnight on the trail.
Tuesday July 11th
Reveille at 7:00 am. Continue the hike. All meals on the trail. Hike approx. 7 to 10 miles until about 4:00 pm. Overnight on the trail.
Wednesday July 12th
Reveille at 7:00 am. Continue the hike. All meals on the trail. Hike approx. 7 to 10 miles until about 4:00 pm. Last overnight on the trail.
Thursday July 13th
Reveille at 7:00 am. Breakfast on the trail. Finish hike by late morning. Hike approx. 3 to 5 miles back to vehicles and load up. Drive to Georgia campground (approx. 3 hours). Fast food lunch on the way. Showers and laundry in campground. Have a sit-down restaurant supper in town. Rest up.
Friday July 14th
Reveille at 6:30 am. Breakfast in camp. Drive to Outfitters (approx. 30 minutes) for whitewater rafting trip ñ approx. 7 hours on the Chattooga River. Lunch furnished on the river. Souvenirs, T-shirts, photos, etc. to be personal expenses. Fast food supper on the way back to same campground. Showers and clean up.
Saturday July 15th
Reveille at 6:00 am. Break camp and drive to Arrowhead Campground at the Six Flags Park in Atlanta (approx. 2½ hours). Fast food breakfast on the way. Set up camp and spend the balance of day in the park until late that night. Lunch and supper in the park. Any souvenirs, T-shirts, etc. to be personal expenses. Back to campground for the night.
Sunday July 16th (Lisa B-day)
Reveille at 6:00 am. Drive to New Orleans (approx. 10 hours). Fast food breakfast, lunch, and supper on the way. Arrive home around 6:00pm at Reevesí house. Call parents for pick-up.
